BAN ON ASIN MAY CONTINUE

Aug 18, 2010 Kalaipuli G Sekaran has said that it was decided during the joint action committee meeting of the Tamil Film Industry that the industry would not extend support for actors and actresses visiting Sri Lanka. Asin was embroiled in this controversy for visiting Sri Lanka for the shooting of the Hindi film Ready. Though the actress had time and again stated that it was not her choice or decision to visit that country, the joint action committee enforced a ban her films. With her Bollywood flick Ready due to be released shortly, there is speculation if it would be allowed to be screened in TN. Talking about this, Kalaipuli G Sekaran said that the decision of the committee is still binding but it could be revoked during a subsequent meeting.
