Trisha Gives Green Signal For Lip Lock

Bollywood is one place where anything can happen and even the most tamed heroines tend to become bombshells. It appears that the same is happening with the petite beauty Trisha. Reports are arriving from Mumbai that Trisha has given her green signal to get into lip lock sequences on the screen. If that is true, then she will definitely pip the other south Indian beauties like Asin or Priyamani who are vying for a spot there. What remains to be seen is who is going to be the lucky actor that will get to touch the soft and juicy lips of Trisha in front of the camera. Right now, she is gearing up for the shooting of her new Hindi movie under the direction of Gautam Menon.

Vivek has been differentiating his comedy

Vivek has been differentiating his comedy roles very well in recent times. Recently in ‘Bale Pandiya’ appeared in dual roles - grandfather and grandson – and tickled the funny bones.

In the upcoming Sundar C’s ‘Murattu Kaalai’ he is donning the role of a Transgender. Even when doing the character Vivek has displayed it with reverence to the transgender community. He has exposed many of their problems with sympathy. His character is called 'Mayilu' which is taken from '16 Vayathinile'.

Some important scenes were lost at the editing table, but in spite of that the existing scenes will make people look at the transgender community with respect says Vivek.

This ‘Murattu Kaalai’ is the remake of the 80s block buster by the same name. Sundar C, Sneha, Sindhu Tolani and Vivek play the roles of Rajinikanth, Rathi, Sumalatha and Surulirajan.

Hansika Motwani: Eagerly awaiting Engeyum Kadhal

Prabhu Deva's directorial venture Engeyum Kadhal, starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles, has completed its final shooting schedule recently. Music composed by Harris Jayaraj will be released in the first week of October. Meanwhile, Hansika Motwani is truly excited about the music of the film.

"Harris Jayaraj's music in this film is fantastic. It is on my lips, especially the title song (Engeyum Kadhal...). Last week Prabhu sir called me up after seeing the rushes of the film and said that I'm looking fresh and gorgeous in the film. I'm eagerly looking forward to come to Chennai for the audio launch of the film," Hansika said to a leading daily.

"The festival season has started off well for me. Soon, my 'film festival' will start with Engeyum Kadhal for Deepavali, followed by Maapillai and Velayudham. I can't wait for my movies to reach the audiences," she added.

Vande Mataram Review

StarCast : Mammootty, Arjun, Sneha
Cinematography : Vetri
Director : D. Aravind
Music Director : Vidyasagar
Producer : Pankaj Productions
After much delay and dillydallying, Vandemataram, a film starring Arjun and Mammootty in lead roles, finally hit the screens, only to tell a patriotic story we have seen many a time in Vijayakanth and Arjun films earlier.
There are few touches of Shankar too in this movie produced by Henry (Pankaj Productions) and directed by Aravindan. All these things, when put together, becomes a cocktail which is enjoyable only at places.
The film is about intelligence chief Gopi Krishnan’s (Mammootty) search for Malik (Deepak), a dreaded terrorist who enters south India. Gopi is helped in his mission by Anwar (Arjun) and Ashok (Jai Akash).
After much efforts, the police team manages to catch Malik. Even as they dig details from him, ultras hatch a plan to spoil the Prime Minister’s (Nasser) attempts to interlink rivers. How Gopi and Anwar save everyone is the remaining story.
Both Mammootty and Arjun prove that doing such roles is a cakewalk for them. They shine bright as saviours of the country. Sneha evokes sympathy as she has nothing big to perform. Nasser, Riyaz Khan and Deepak, the new baddie on the block, perform well.
Imman’s music and cinematography by Rajesh Yadav and Panneerselvam add strength to Vandemataram. Dialogues by R N R Manohar at places evoke interest. To sum it up, Vandemataram is promises more, but delivers less.

Casanova: Roshan Andrews taking initiatives?

Despite loud claims over shooting dates, superstar Mohanlal's big budget venture Casanova, directed by Roshan Andrews, has been dropped thrice so far since its announcement last year.

The latest we heard about the movie is that, irked by the makers' move to shelve the film for the third time, even its heroine Shriya Saran walked out of the project and the makers cancelled the first shooting schedule which was to commence in Bangkok from September first week.

Now, some sources suggest that that director Roshan Andrews is taking initiatives to make sure that unlike previously planned schedules, all future shooting schedules happen on time.

According to his latest plans, the first schedule will begin from September 27 at Dubai. After this lengthy schedule, the film will be shot at Malaysia and Bangkok. Since Shriya walked out of the project, Sameera Reddy has reportedly been roped in as the heroine. Lakshmi Rai will be the second heroine.

ASIN REPLACES

If acting alongside superstar Rajinikanth or in a movie directed by Shankar will attract headlines in Kollywood, appearing in a Lux soap ad is as prestigious as acting in a Bollywood movie. The legacy was started by Aishwarya Rai which was later taken forward by Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. The latest to join the bandwagon is Asin, who is all set to feature in the topmost brand of the film glitterati.
Sources confirm that Asin has already finished shooting for the commercial which will be on air soon. The Lux brand ambassador is all smiles to have joined a list of elite professionals.

Trisha and Tamanna now compete

"Who will show better in a Kuththu dance" is the competition going on between Trisha and Tamanna.
Director Bala used have a Kuththu dance in all his movies and most of the time, more than his movie, the only item song gives lot of fame to the movie.

Bala is now making a movie 'Avan Ivan' and is planning to add a Kuththu dance in it. He was searching for a right girl to do it. Somehow Trisha and Tamanna understood the search and are sending their managers to get them the deal.

Boss Engira Baskaran – Tamil Movie Review

Banner: Red Giant Movies, The Show People, Vasan Visual Ventures
Production: K. Srinivasan, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Aarya
Direction: Rajesh
Star-casts: Aarya, Nayanthara, Santhanam, .Naan Kadavul. Rajendran, Chitra Lakshmanan, Subbu Panchu and others
Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja
Camera: Sakthi Saravanan
Editing: Vivek Harshan

Films patently based on comic quotients aren.t often in Kollywood and precisely making a hilarious entertainer turns to be the most speculative bet, a filmmaker can afford for. But Rajesh makes sure audiences are kept with great coolness and composure under strain. In fact his debut directorial . Siva Manasula Sakthi . was a blatant illustration for his motto. Nearly after a year, he strikes back with yet another entertainer . Boss Engira Baskaran .. Though not much exceeding your expectation levels as SMS , this movie has its own style of amusing the masses.

It.s hard to proceed with a comedy flick sans story and Rajesh has carefully handled screenplay in a nitty-gritty manner and assures of commendable entertainment.

The hilarious portions of Santhanam is the major plus while Aarya and Nayanthara are just mediocre.

Set in backdrops of Kumbakonam, Baskaran aka Boss (Aarya) leads a devil-may-care life. More arrears, jobless and such factors make his days grow unintentional. He falls in love with Chandrika (Nayanthara), a well educated post-graduate, whose elder sister (Vijayalakshmi) marries Boss. elder brother (Subbu Panchu). Nalla Thambi (Santhanam) is often wretched with the friendship of Boss and yet stands by his side in times of distress. When Baskaran professes his love for Chandrika through her elder sister, oppositions takes in place on front place as his family members complain of his idleness and irresponsiblenesses. Rajnikanth.s challenge in Annamalai becomes Boss. intentions as he challenges of making it bigger in life. Rest of the story is about the comical encounters of Baskaran and Nalla Thambi as they commence a tutorial school.

Aarya looks stylish, but is just passable with his experiment in comedy. Nayanthara could have worked on her makeovers. It would have been nice, if her looks of .Yaaradi Nee Mohini. was sustained in this flick as well. All praises to Santhanam as his tremendous sense of humor with rib-tickling one- liners wins him applause. In fact, he has more prominence than the lead characters and Rajesh has utilized his presence in the best way.

Subbu Panchu as Aarya.s brother fits the role. Vijayalakshmi has made a come back and make her presence. Chitra Lakshmanan, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan and . Naan Kadavul. Rajendran have done what way have been told.

In terms of narration, the first hour proceeds with right momentum while it drops during the second half. Onscreen chemistry between Aarya and Nayan is completely missing.

Yuvan Shankar Raja disappoints with the background score. Except .Yaar Indha Penn., nothing sustains into your senses. He keeps repeating the same percussions in background through second half. Sakthi.s Saravanan camera work is a manifestation of great visuals. Vivek Harshan.s editing is okay.

Rajesh does everything that sets thing on right way, No matter of things dropping away during post-intermission sequences. Santhanam.s presence stands out the major reason of embellishing .Boss Engira Baskaran. as entertainer.

Rajesh.s has missed packing a feel good family entertainer

What works: Santhanam, Camera

What doesn.t work: Onscreen chemistry between Aarya-Nayan, Music, Song, Climax

Verdict: Boss gets a . Just Pass.

Drohi – Tamil Movie

Production: Mano Akkineni
Direction: Sudha K Prasad
Star-casts: Srikanth, Vishnu, Poorna, Poonam Bajwa and others
Music: Selvaganesh
Camera: Alphonse Roy
Women directors often choose romantic genres. Long time associate of Manirathnam, Sudha Prasad takes a different route. Crime-dramas aren’t earthy themes of Kollywood as on most of times, it’s done with a commercial touch. Director Sudha clears up such preexisting patterns and tries drawing newer lines. A finer opening with an engrossing narration followed by few draggy moments and at the end, it’s an overloaded show violence that carries a valid reason as well.
The film opens up with Saamy (Srikanth) tied to a railway track. With his croaking voice counting on few more trains left to run upon him, it’s a straight shift to flashback as the tale is all about two 10-year old kids. Saamy and Karuna, close buddies blatantly vary in their natures. Karuna, the deadly dangerous chap and Saamy, a Brahmin are classmates. Located in the busiest areas of North India, the kids witness the death of their class teacher Roja (Pooja) by few goons. Notwithstanding the gruesome murder, the kids hatch plans to polish off the raucous baddie. A mind-blasting sketch, a fantastic act and the paisanos are behind bars. It’s all about betrayal that splits them up, thereby ending their friendship. Years later, Saamy becomes a thug operating for don Thyagarajan (Narayanan) while Karuna (Vishnu) is appearing for IPS Exams. Their hostilities never seem to end between Saamy and Karuna and their conflicts are growing wilder now.

Srikanth has tried pulling in a better performance, when compared to his previous movies. Getting to watch him in a gangster role in slightly unsuitable for his chubby looks, but tries emoting with best efforts… Vishnu is okay when compared to his previous week’s release ‘Bale Pandiya’. The actor goes up vigorously in action packed roles. But the actresses Poonam Bajwa and Poorna have got nothing to do with the film. Pooja appearing in cameo role makes a great impression. Thyagarajan is okay.
Not to forget the soliloquy sequences of Srikanth. He has captured even the minutest details. Musical score by Selvaganesh is below average. The action packed sequences have been edited well.Lots of violence and draggy screenplay are the biggest minuses that scatter our attention. The film will cater for the tastes of action buffs, while it has nothing to do with family audiences.
What works: Some interesting parts, plot, cinematography, Srikanth, Pooja
What doesn’t work: Second half, actresses, music, violence
Verdict: Watch it if you want.
