Court stays Sarath film

A Chennai Court has ordered an interim stay on the release of upcoming film 'Narasimhan IPS', starring Sarath Kumar and Meghna Raj in lead roles.

The movie is the Tamil version of Malayalam flick 'Achante Aanmakkal.' The Fourth Assistant City Civil Court passed the order on a petition filed by T Moovendan, proprietor of Mahesh Exports.

In his petition, Moovendan, who had bagged the rights for the international release of the film, said that as per agreement, he was to get the disc of the movie five days before its release.

Even as the film was getting ready to hit the screens this Friday, Moovendan approached the court, stating that he would be put to a great loss if he did not receive the disc in time. The court posted the case for hearing on April 24.
