Vimal becomes dad

The 'Kalavani' hero had a 'new release' on Sunday. His wife Priyadarshini gave birth to a baby boy at a private hospital in Chennai on the Krishna Jayanthi day, giving Vimal more than one reason to be happy.

The actor, who is celebrating the arrival of a new member to his family by distributing sweets to friends, colleagues and relatives, says, "I am so happy that a little Krishna has come to our house on Krishna Jayanthi Day."

Vimal, who was in love with Priyadarshini, a medical student and daughter of his relative, entered wedlock with her secretly during the shooting of 'Eththan', as her parents opposed to their affair.

At present, he is eagerly expecting the release of 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa', his second film with 'Kalavani' director and good friend Sargunam. He is also busy shooting for 'Ishtam', a remake of Telugu hit 'Yemaindhi Ee Vela'.
