There is always a curiosity factor when actors of caliber like Prakash Raj and Prithviraj come together. The combo that rocked in well made family films like ‘Mozhi’ and Vellithirai’ is back again with ‘Anwar’.
“‘Anwar’ is a realistic story of youth in terrorism set against the backdrop of Coimbatore bomb blasts”, says the director Amal Neerad.
The film starring Prithviraj, Prakash Raj and Mamta Mohandas handles the sensitive issue of Islamic terrorism. Prithviraj plays a terrorist and Prakash Raj plays the head of Anti-Terrorist squad. Mamta is Prithviraj’s girl.
The film has already released in Kerala and got rave reviews as a “stylish action thriller”. Lal, TG Ravi, Salim Kumar and Sari are playing other important roles in the film.
‘Anwar’ is distributed by Surya’s home company Green Studio and will hit the theatres of Tamil Nadu on March 11.
