Gulliver towers over UK box office

Gulliver's Travels has ousted Little Fockers from the top spot in the UK box office chart.

The Jack Black comedy took just over £7m in its opening weekend, with the Meet the Parents threequel lagging well behind in second place on £2.6m.

Romantic drama Love & Other Drugs, starring Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal, entered the chart in third place with £1.6m.

It was followed in fourth place by another new entry, WWII Gulag escape epic The Way Back, which took £1.3m.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader fell three places to fifth, with Tron: Legacy and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 also down three places to sixth and seventh respectively.
