Disha Pandey who made her debut in Tamil Padam has 3 films in her hands now. She while speaking to the media said, “Chennai is far better when compared to my native place Rajasthan’s summer and Mumbai traffic where I live.
Chennai people celebrate the ones who have talents. I think that is great blessing for me to introduced in Tamil cinema through Tamil Padam. Many are asking me whether I am learning Tamil. I am not learning Tamil systematically.
I am learning Tamil practically. I try to speak Tamil to my assistants and unit members. I am daily memorizing ten Tamil words. Within six months I will learn Tamil. When my directors and co stars say that I have a Tamil face, I am really happy. I want to transform myself as a Tamil girl.
With regard to selection of character I don’t know much about cinema. But for time being I am seeing whether it is possible to act in that role. After gaining some experiences I will try to concentrate on other aspects. But I am interested in acting wearing sarees and half sarees. Then only I can capture the hearts of the audience.
I am donning the role of call centre employee in the film Mayanginen Thayanginen. The audience will like this role. Though I am getting offers from others languages I will be concentrating in Tamil only for time being. I have sighed for only one Telugu film titled Motcham.”
