STORY –
It is a remake of 2009 Tamil film ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’ starring Arya and Nayanthara in the lead roles. It is all about the careless youth falling in love to a teacher and what life teaches him with good family surrounding him is the crux of this film.

Bhaskar known as Boss (Diganth) is bowled over by the beauty of Chandrika (Aindrita Ray). Bhasker is a lazy bone, freeloader and not intelligent enough to make living on his own. He has not passed PUC after several attempts. He goes to the examination hall with 36 chits to copy the answers to the questions. He is caught by Chandrika who is the invigilator.

To the luck of Bhasker his lady love also reciprocate. There is a family bondage when veterinary doctor Ramakrishna elder brother of Bhasker marries Chandrika elder sister Nandini. As usual the living is asked by Chandrika father. The useless guy Bhasker starts a tuition class for 10th standards students. He brings in Shakeela as teacher and the only good thing happens is all the dull students parents sorrows is told to them via video presentation.

In the mission of tuition Bhasker wins with the help of his barber friend (played by Sharan) but again the hardship is Chandrika father because on the retirement day he was insulted by Bhasker barber friend.

Chandrika had to agree for a new match this time. Enter Raghu Mukerjee. The end is as expected. Bhasker shows how strong his love to Chandrika and Raghu Mukerji walks away.

ANALYSIS –

The first half is very boring with Diganth careless attitudes on the screen. He has done it several times in his previous films. ‘Lifu Ishtene’ is the recent example. The irresponsibility of this character is not supportive to the society. The original film frame to frame is found in this remake. The director of this film is also Tamilian Prabhu Srinivas. Like how Prabhu Srinivas has not delivered the right contents for his first Kannada cinema ‘Jeeva’ it repeats. Without knowing the sentiments and nativity director Prabhu Srinivas brought it on silver screen.

It seems Diganth and Aindrita Ray accepted because they are paired in this film and two songs are there to chill out. The role of Aindrita Ray – She is an educated and serving the teaching profession. The strongly worded dialogue to change the outlook of her boy friend was very badly needed.

Diganth on the other hand how long he can go on doing this kind of role. The naughty quality is OK; the ‘Chatapat’ talking is also OK. The role he picks up is not in high standards. It is belittling the younger generation. Like the opening song in the film he should not continue in his profession – Hogollo Naa Yavattidru Hingene…. (go man I am always like this).

The best part of the film is music by Mano Murthy and cinematography to it is also terrific.

PERFORMANCE –

Diganth and Aindrita Ray make a good pair. There is no doubt about it. What is that passes new to the audience or for the fans is very important. In that case this film offers nothing.

The romantic song of Nee Mohisu….and title track – Diganth and Aindrita Ray look very grand. Diganth elder brother role is not up to the mark. Kadal Dandapani is painful to see on screen.

Sharan has given very good performance and his comedy timing is always on good standards. The character of Nandini (in the film) has right looks and acting is impressive.

TECHNICALITY –

The capturing of songs in the mist filled and lush green surroundings with two lovely actors – Diganth and Aindrita Ray around is pleasant to the eyes. Srinivas D has done a competent job.

The Boss of this film is Mano Murthy – the opening Hogollo….for youths, Hey Chandrika….Nee Mohisu…Hudugi Ellalli Nanu Huduki….are well composed. We hope the tunes the not borrowed like the subject.

Last but not Least –
Good pair does not make a good cinema!
