Dhanush’s ‘Utthamaputhiran’ for Diwali?

With Superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Enthiran’ making high waves in town, the film buffs are curiously looking out for the Diwali releases as well. As known earlier, Kamal Haasan’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ and Vijay’s ‘Kaavalan’ will not hit screens for this occasion. But there will be certain entertainers expected of hitting screens on November 5.

One amongst them will be Dhanush’s ‘Utthamaputhiran’. The film is a remake of yesteryear Telugu blockbuster ‘Ready’ that successfully crossed 175 days in theatres. The Kannada remake featuring Puneeth Rajkumar and Priyamani were the biggest hits as well. The Tamil remake ‘Utthamaputhiran’ has Dhanush and Genelia D’ Souza in lead roles. Produced by Gemini Film Circuit, the film is directed by Jawahar Mithran.

Vijay Anthony has scored music for the film and the producers are planning to release the film for Diwali.
