'Mambattiyan' to have a sequel

Director-producer Thiyagarajan has confirmed that he is planning to go for a sequel to 'Mambattiyan', immediately after the Prashanth-starrer remake of the first part hits the screens.

"The story of Mambattiyan has got a good scope to have a sequel. So the second part of the film will go on floors soon. Prashanth will play the lead role. We are waiting to know the audience's reaction for the first part now," says the proud father.

He adds: "Prashanth has really worked hard for Mambattiyan. We forgot our relationship on the sets and he was an actor and I was a director. I was not ready for any compromise in getting his best. So was he. He is a director's actor."

With Meera Jasmine playing the heroine, 'Mambattiyan' has Vadivelu taking care of comedy. "Thaman S has given good songs and background score. His music will be one of the highlights of Mambattiyan," concludes Thiyagarajan.
