'7aum Arivu' is turning out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, with collection reports claiming that the film has created a storm in the box office. "This is another sure shot from Suriya as fans are thoroughly enjoying his performance," said a source in one of the leading multiplexes of Chennai.
Though the actual release date was October 26 (Wednesday), various theatres started screening '7aum Arivu' right from the afternoon of Tuesday itself, as they found it difficult to manage the swelling booking enquiries. "The occupancy is 100 per cent till the next one week," the source said
With the Tamil Nadu government allowing cinema halls to screen more number of shows for a week thanks to Deepavali holidays, those running theatres are set to laugh all the way to the banks. "The star value of Suriya and the expectations created by 7aum Arivu team are attracting huge crowds to theatres," said the manager of a cinema hall at a southern suburb of Chennai.
Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies, '7aum Arivu', directed by A R Murugadoss, is also the acting debut of Shruthi Haasan in Tamil. The 'Ghajini' director has ensured that the film conveys a message, but falls within the commercial format.
