Gautham Menon’s ‘Nadunisi Naaygal’ is the first genuine psycho thriller in Tamil cinema after three decades. The film is releasing next Friday, February 18 and Gautham is pulling all the strings to promote the film in a big way.
To the effect Gautham has been shooting events and participating in programmes on all the media. At a promotional event shoot yesterday Gautham interviewed the stalwart director Bharathiraja who gave the first Tamil modern psychological thriller in 1979.
In the interview Gautham said Bharathiraja’s ‘Sigappu Rojakkal’ starring Kamal Haasan and Sridevi was a cult hit and has become synonymous with the genre itself.
The two directors shared a great time enjoying the shoot and what’s more heartening is to see two renowned directors of two different generations showing mutual respect and admiration.
