Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s production venture ‘Thoonga Nagaram’ marks the arrival of another director as actor. He is none other than Gaurav, who has directed the film set in the backdrop of Madurai.
Gaurav is one of the four protagonists of the movie, with the other three being Vimal (of ‘Kalavani’ fame), Bharani (‘Naadodigal’) and Nishanth (‘Renigunta’). “All the four characters are very crucial to the film,” sources say.
An emotional thriller on the lives of a set of youngsters in the temple city, the film has been certified ‘U’ by the Censor Board recently. “The officials find the movie fit for family viewing,” add sources.
Anjai and Madhumitha are the two heroines in ‘Thoonga Nagaram’. “Four youngsters from areas surrounding Madurai come to the city for different reasons. How their lives change from then on is the knot.”
