Asin opposite Shah Rukh Khan?

We are aware of Vishal Bharadwaj’s adaptation of ‘2 States’ for which Shah Rukh Khan has been signed to play the Punjabi lead. And for the female lead there have been lot of expectations from Bollywood. But it is still not confirmed who will play the ‘Tamil Brahmin girl’ in this flick.

Many names starting from Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra were considered. But now it looks like Asin is also under consideration.

Initially Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra were chosen for the roles. However, they were later dropped due to some issues. Sources say that Katrina Kaif has fewer chances to bag the role as she wouldn’t fit the role of a Tamilian. While Asin has already proved of her proficiency as a Brahmin girl in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Dasavatharam’, which becomes an added advantage.
