Simbu, who is currently busy with Vaanam (remake of critically acclaimed Telugu film Vedam) and Podaa Podi with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, has recently signed his next flick titled Vettai Mannan, to be directed by debutant Nelson.

Unlike VTV, Vaanam and Podaa Podi, Vettai Manan will have lots of action with a strong comedy element. Nelson has earlier worked with Simbu in Manmadhan and Vallavan.

Jai of Subramaniapuram fame will play an important role (as Simbu's friend) in this film which will be shot in Chennai, United States and Mexico; Yuvanshakar Raja will compose its music. Interestingly, Jai's character in the film has lots of action sequences, so the actor is now busy hitting the gym daily.
