Late ace film star and the matinee idol of millions, Sivaji Ganesan's epic project 'Karnan' that released way back in 1964 is releasing again in digitized format. The film will be gracing screens come March 16 for which reservations begin from March 14.

It will be showcased in DTS screens throughout the state including leading multiplexes like Sathyam Cinemas, Shanthi Complex, Abirami Complex, AVM Rajeshwari and Bharath.

The mythological flick stars an array of tinsel town celebs including NT Rama Rao, Savitri and R Muthuraman. It throws light on the events in the life of Karna, a character from epic Mahabharatha.

Born to Kunti as a gift from the Sun Lord with earrings and armour, Karnan is abandoned as a baby. He fakes himself as a Brahmin and studies under Parasuram and earns his wrath due to the same. He is later taken in by Duryodhana for the epic battle of Kurukshetra. What happens when he comes to know he is the elder brother of the Pandavas whom he is fighting forms the rest of the plot of this visual extravaganza that's one of the best classics in Tamil cinema.

The film will be available on DTS screens from March 16.
