It’s tough to run a political outfit besides making and starring in films. Director-actor Seeman has been able to do so without much ado. In between holding various protest demonstrations against the Union Government on many issues, he attends his shooting schedules without fail. His next film would be Kandupidi Kandupidi (KK), billed as a suspense thriller which happens inside a marriage hall.

Rama Subbaraman who has worked with the likes of Agathiyan, Balasekaran and Prabhu Salomon, is turning director with KK. Says Subbaraman about his film: “KK is a suspense thriller as the story starts at 08:00 in the morning at a marriage hall and ends at 1400 hrs in the afternoon of the same day.”

Seeman plays a police officer named Pugazhmaran. He has literally lived the character, according to the director. He might be flooded with more such assignments once the film releases, Subbaraman assures. Aiswarya Devan, a newcomer from the neighbouring Kerala, is debuting in the film as heroine in Tamil films. The film has just a couple of songs in it, scored by debutant music director Kalki Yuva.

Keeping Nooraavathu Naal by Maestro Ilayaraja in his mind, Yuva has reportedly scored tremendous background music in the film. “Shooting of KK is over and there are good offers from Telugu and Hindi movies as well. All credits to the producers who have reposed faith in us,” says Kalki Yuva.
