Directed by Chandilya, 'Ra Ra' is an upcoming film with a huge dollop of comedy. The film's cast spans a bevy of stars to the likes of Udhaya and Shewatha Bashu essaying lead roles with a supporting star cast comprising of Sathyan, Ponvannan, Meera Krishnan, Director Nandha Periyasamy and 'Myna' Suzan. Udhaya, the hero of this film is also the brother of noted film maker AL Vijay.

The story spins around the travails of a family from Royapuram which gets connected to a family from Royapettah through marriage. Based completely in Chennai, the film is a funny take on love and marriage and all that follow thereafter.

raraApart from the fun element and a huge star cast, the film also gives a lot of importance to the Thirukkural. Most of the story entwines itself around the Thirukkural with a song comprising of the entire Thirukkural as its lyrics, reveal sources close to this film. The top brass associated with this project opine that the audience, after watching 'Ra Ra' will remember at least 10 couplets from the famous Thirukkural, when they walk out of the theatres!

At a time when most of the films hitting theatres are violent and portray the harsher side of life, 'Ra Ra' with its base as the Thirukkural will sure be a relief to the audience.

'Ra Ra' is nearing completion and is all set to release in theatres across the state towards the end of September. The music for this film is by Srikanth Deva.
